Stretching along Australia’s remote southern coast, the Great Australian Bight is a vast sweep of ocean bordered by the arid Nullarbor Plain and dramatic limestone cliffs. The region is also an important marine habitat, with southern right whales gathering near the Head of the Bight during their winter breeding season.
